Problem Note 44977: Users with trailing tab characters in their user names cannot log in to SAS® Information Delivery Portal
Users with trailing tab characters in their user names cannot log in to SAS Information Delivery Portal. The error that appears is similar to the error that appears when metadata permissions are incorrect.
ERROR [11d1def534ea1be0:25c7842a:13332b2381e:-78e3sastrust]

The first step is to check the SAS® Metadata Server log file. If you do not see any corresponding permission errors, then check the user name for a trailing tab character.
To resolve this issue, remove the tab character from the end of the user's name.
Beginning with SAS® 9.3, you cannot create a user name that contains a trailing tab character.
